Daryn Ogino
Daryn was born and raised on Oahu. He embodies the local spirit and is very attuned to the local way of doing business. He has over a 16 years of real estate and mortgage lending experience, and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BBA in Management Information Sciences. He is also an astute real estate investor and entrepreneur. He bought his first property at the age of 25 with the money he saved from working two full time jobs. His first-time home buying experience was problematic because his loan officer didn’t explain terms well, didn’t give him loan options, and never returned his calls on time. This experience is what lead Daryn to start a career in mortgage finance. He knew that other homeowners were probably experiencing the same thing and felt that he could fill that void. Since then, Daryn has made it his mission to create the best customer service experience for locals trying to purchase or refinance their home. Hence, Smart Money was born!
Devan Kwee
Devan was raised on the island of Maui then moved to O’ahu after he graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Devan studied business and graduated with a finance degree from the Shidler College of Business.

He was approached by a college friend and previous co-worker, Everett, with an idea of switching business fields again to become a mortgage loan officer. Seven years later he’s still grateful for the opportunity he was given by both Smart Money and Everett.
On his free time Devan likes to try and stay active. He enjoys going to the gym and traversing the course terrain looking for his lost golf balls.
