Daryn was born and raised on Oahu.  He embodies the local spirit and is very attuned to the local way of doing business.  Daryn started in the real estate and mortgage lending experience in 2004 and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BBA in Management Information Sciences.  He is also an astute real estate investor and entrepreneur.  He bought his first property at the age of 25 with the money he saved from working two full-time jobs.  His first home buying experience was problematic because his loan officer didn’t explain the terms well, didn’t give him loan options, and never returned his calls on time.  This experience is what lead Daryn to start a career in mortgage finance.  He knew other homeowners were probably experiencing the same thing and felt he could fill that void.  Since then, Daryn has made it his mission to create the best customer service experience for locals trying to purchase or refinance their home.  Hence, Smart Money was born!
